She wants to send their son to private school to avoid the awkwardness of working in the same school where he attends, and honestly, she just thinks he’ll do better academically in a private school. Carl thinks it looks bad for her that she doesn’t even want to send her own child to the school where she works, plus, their son won’t know any better, it won’t be a conflict for them to be together. Joanna thinks it’s a big deal and wants Mike to fight back and get these things done. Mike thinks that her job is literally to watch the baby, there’s no need to do all these things.
