Wednesday May 1st 2024: Worst Kid In Town; Sean v. Moana; Expensive Sports

Raven said he ran about 4 miles on a treadmill and claims he’s now officially a skinny fitness person! What makes you feel skinny?

Feeling “meh” recently? There is something you can do that’ll help you get back to feeling good again, and it has something to do with when you were a kid.

If you do THIS while you are out at a restaurant, that’s all I need to know about you!

Barbra Streisand is getting some heat from people online after what she said to Melissa McCarthy on Instagram. Did she really go too far?

What is the most expensive hobby your child has? The average family spends over $800 per year and kid’s activities, but Anna is convinced she’s spending a lot more!

How well do you know your kid’s favorite movie? Producer Sean claims to know every word to the movie Moana, so Anna is putting him to the test!

Is there something you should never gamble on? A famous arcade is now allowing gambling, but Raven is pretty sure everyone was betting there already!

Do you have the worst behaved kid in town? Anna was shocked when she read a story about what one 9-year-old did to get himself to school on time!

Leah and Patrick hit a rough patch last year when he admitted that he was unfaithful one night. She forgave him and they’ve been fine ever since. But, he recently told her that the person that he cheated with is her best friend. He has begged her not to say anything to her and to please let it go. It was all a mistake. Leah wants to confront her friend, she feels so betrayed. He doesn’t want to ruin the friend’s life, and if it gets out, it will. What would you do?

THE FEED: Cinco de Mayo Celebrations From Norwalk To Wallingford

THE FEED: Cinco de Mayo Celebrations From Norwalk To Wallingford

Every Tuesday, Kevin and Jenna talk about all things food in Connecticut with Alex from CT Food Girly. With Cinco de Mayo coming up this Sunday there is no shortage of great Mexican restaurants here in Connecticut. Alex takes us up and down 95 for all the best spots to try and who’s throwing celebrations this weekend. Tacos, live music, guac, and even a margarita pedal bike!

In Wallingford and also Bristol, Yellow King Brews is offering a $25 margarita flight served both
Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 11pm to celebrate the holiday. I want to give a little run down
on the 5 flavors. They have The Classic, The Mezcal with a tajin rim, next is Rock Bottom which
is blackberry puree, agave, lime, triple sec and juarez gold. The next two are The Bloody Hell,
which is tequila, triple sec , lime, agave and blood orange puree and lastly choose your own,
from strawberry, guava, apricot, blueberry, coconut or raspberry.

Geronimo’s in New Haven and Fairfield is celebrating Cinco De Mayo with both food and drinks
specials, a live mariachi band, and more. Camacho Garage in New Haven is also having food
and drink specials with a live mariachi band. They have events that day from 3:00 to 7pm.
Starting off with the face painting, tattoos and a live donkey. Then the mariachi band is playing
from 3-5 and then the patron margarita bike will finish off the night. The patron bike is awesome,
I saw it this winter at Mohegan Sun, people sit on the bike and pedal in place and it blends a 20
oz margarita right by the handlebars.

New Haven Nights, which is a founder of New Haven Bar Crawl Series, they set up events and
top of the line bar crawls, is hosting one for Cinco De Mayo on Saturday, this is the 3rd annual,
and it runs from 12pm to 10pm, covering 8 venues, with discounted drink specials, giveaways,
tasting samples, part bus transportation, photographers and videographers, a photo booth, 15+
djs and free cover charge access when you purchase your ticket.

Mexico Tipico in Milford is gearing up for their full weekend live DJ event for Cinco De Mayo.
The DJ will start both Saturday and Sunday at 3pm, they will be offering drink specials all day,
and open their doors at 11am. They will be doing giveaways and Saturday Night they have a DJ
competition and with the lights, the music, the stage, this sounds like a great time.

Puerto Vallarta in Orange is going big for Cinco De Mayo. They are having dj’s all day, a ton of
drink specials and food specials as well. The food here is very good, I remember shooting at
this location a couple years back. Great service, this will be a must-do on Cinco De Mayo.
Don Carmelo’s in Norwalk is throwing a big big bash for Cinco. There will be shot girls all day,
the back patio will be open and the DJ’s will be there playing some awesome music. They will
have gifts to take home, drinks specials, food specials as well. This event runs from 3pm to
8pm.

Ola Latin Kitchen in Bridgeport has created a Cinco De Mayo menu for the holiday. Firstly, all
of their house margaritas will be $8 all night long. For tapas, they are having chicken and potato
tortillas with chipotle crema, cabbage and salsa verde. They’ve added a Mediterranean sea
bass over pinto beans, with smoked chorizo, baby spinach in a cherry tomato ragu with crispy
tortilla and pico. Lastly, for dessert, they have churros with chocolate.

Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? It’s more common than you think and Dr. Jennifer Wider has personal (terrifying) experience with it!

Jeff and Pia went out to dinner and when it was time to pay the check, the waiter brought the wrong one. Jeff knew that it was the wrong check but since it was considerably less, he paid it, and left. He didn’t tell his wife until later on that evening, and now she’s so embarrassed that she wants him to call the restaurant, explain there was a mix up, and offer to pay the right check. He says it was their mistake, so it’s their problem. What would you do?

Gina says that a 16-year-old is not responsible enough to babysit their young children, and she’s never babysat before. They don’t know the parents or anything about her.
