Today, Alex takes us on a culinary journey exploring the best multi-course, one price restaurants experiences inspired by the popular show, The Bear! Yes, Chef!

Luce – Hamden Luce in Hamden offers a casual prix fixe menu that’s a family favorite. This wonderful Italian restaurant provides a delicious lunch for $24 per person or dinner for $38 per person. Choose an appetizer, enjoy a salad course, and then select your entree. Our go-to appetizers include arancini, pane cotto, fried calamari, and meatballs. For entrees, we love the shrimp pesto, shrimp vodka, seafood risotto, and lemon chicken. With options like veal, salmon, pork chops, and gnocchi, there’s something for everyone.

NewBrook Kitchen – Cheshire NewBrook Kitchen offers an intimate and unique dining experience, blending classic culinary techniques with modern touches. Perfect for a special occasion or date night, Chef Danielle and her team welcome diners to the Supper Club counter to indulge in a six-course meal composed of small plates with big flavors. Each Supper Club has a different menu, and each experience is $92 per person.

Union Kitchen – West Hartford Located on restaurant row in West Hartford, Union Kitchen serves seasonal American cuisine driven by fresh ingredients. In addition to their a la carte menu, they offer a five-course tasting menu for $70 per person, with an optional wine pairing for an additional $30. The food at Union Kitchen is nothing short of amazing.

Boqueria – West Hartford For a more casual setting, Boqueria in West Hartford offers a prix fixe dinner menu for $29 per person, featuring their favorite tapas. Every Wednesday and Thursday, select a starter for the table, choose two tapas per person, and enjoy a dessert for each of you. It’s a great way to try and share many different plates, with delicious cocktails available as well.

Olea – New Haven Olea in New Haven offers a Chef’s Tasting Menu for $98 per person, featuring six courses with an optional wine pairing for an extra $52. Available on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday nights, this experience requires 24-hour advance notice. The menu is a surprise, adding to the excitement of the dining experience.

The Essex – Old Saybrook The Essex blends old New England charm with upscale elegance, using the freshest locally-sourced products from farm and sea. Their Chef’s Tasting Menu is a must-try, offering a five-course menu for $95 per person or a seven-course menu for $115 per person. The full table’s participation is required, and no substitutions are allowed. The ever-changing menu keeps the experience fresh and exciting.

The Shipwright’s Daughter – Mystic The Shipwright’s Daughter in Mystic is a must-visit, especially since Chef David Standridge won the 2024 James Beard Chef Award. The restaurant has also received accolades from Connecticut Magazine and the Connecticut Restaurant Association. Their five-course chef’s tasting menu is $110 per person, with an optional wine pairing for an additional $68. The menu is a surprise, perfect for true foodies looking for an unforgettable dining experience.
