Beardsley Zoo Upgrading Rainforest Exhibit
The Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport is working to raise $200,000 to upgrade its rainforest exhibit, a beloved feature since 1992. The exhibit houses endangered species like two-toed sloths, howler monkeys, and golden lion tamarins. Planned upgrades include improved animal habitats, updated lighting and glass, new plants, and even new species. These changes aim to enhance the visitor experience, support animal welfare, and ensure the exhibit remains vibrant for years to come. The zoo is calling on the community to help revitalize this space and secure its future.
Paige Bueckers’ Next Move Uncertain
UConn star Paige Bueckers, expected to be the top pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, might hold off on going pro.
