Keeping It 203: An Expedited CDOT Project and a CT Rescues on Broadway

Fairfield Avenue Bridge Reopens Ahead of Schedule!
The Fairfield Avenue bridge over I-95 in Norwalk is back open, just seven months after a tanker fire destroyed it. The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CDOT) fast-tracked the project, completing it in half the expected time. Crews worked tirelessly through summer and fall, wrapping up utility installations like water, gas, and electric lines by September. Another win for CDOT!

Rescue Dogs Take Center Stage!
Connecticut’s Bill Berloni is turning rescue dogs into Broadway stars! Right now, he’s got four dogs performing in Left on Tenth with Julianna Margulies and Gypsy with Audra McDonald. Berloni, who started his career nearly 50 years ago with Sandy in Annie, credits strong bonds between dogs and actors for their stage success. From shelters to stardom, these pups are stealing the show!

Brian’s company holiday party is being held at an amusement park this year and the invitation only indicates that they are allowed to bring a “plus one”. They have two children that both want to go. Brian’s wife, Trinity, doesn’t understand what the big deal is. Just ask the boss if he can bring his children. Brian thinks that it’s rude to ask, the invitation said “plus one”, it seems like it may be an adult event, and he’s only been at the company a short time to be so presumptuous. Is there any harm in asking?

Bradley Airport is bustling today, with heavy crowds expected during peak travel times: 4–7 a.m. and 3–5:30 p.m. this afternoon. TSA recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before your flight, as security lines may take up to 30 minutes.

Connecticut’s Thanksgiving football tradition is here to stay, thanks to a new law preventing school boards from banning holiday games. After discussions about moving rivalry matchups, fans and coaches pushed back, ensuring iconic games like Ansonia-Naugatuck and Darien-New Canaan continue. While not every school participates, the week blends high school games with NFL and college football action, creating a special holiday vibe.

In Manchester, the Thanksgiving Day Road Race saw over 12,000 participants this year, marking a return to pre-COVID numbers and its highest turnout since 2018. A beloved tradition, it continues to bring the community together in a big way.

There are 14 kids from his class attending.
