Brian and Mary are retired. Brian would love to get a pilot’s license and learn to fly small aircraft. Mary thinks it’s unsafe and he’s too old to take up such a dangerous hobby this late in life. Brian says she’s overreacting, retirement is supposed to be for trying new things and chasing dreams you never achieved! His wife, Lori, says he’s going too far to influence her decision. He isn’t “offering” her an apartment, he’s bribing her with one to get her to attend. Jack agreed to be in his childhood friend’s wedding. It’s next May over Memorial Day weekend. His wife, Juliana, just found out that there’s a wine and food retreat that’s happening that same weekend in Spain that they really wanted to go to. Two other couples that they are very close to are also going the retreat that week. She wants him to bail on the wedding (which is his friend’s second wedding, by the way) so they can go, he feels like it’s wrong since he already agreed. She says he’s not the best man, it’s fine.
