This happened here in Connecticut on Route 7 in Brookfield last weekend. An off-duty firefighter Nicholas Perri Jr. from White Plains was on his way home from work around 3:00 A.M when he saw a car off to the side on the road engulfed in flames!
He pulled over to try and help and ended up pulling the woman from her burning car. Luckily the ambulance was pulling just as this happened. She only sustained minor injuries after being taken to the hospital.
The firefighters on scene said she was extremely lucky Perri happened to drive by the scene at that hour to get her out when he did, because the gas tank had been ruptured and she didn’t have much time.
The entire thing was caught on dashcam video too. Which is incredible.
