You had it at the circus, maybe at baseball or hockey games, your kids always beg for it… the stickiest of treats, cotton candy. The person who came up with this crazy idea might surprise you.
Cotton Candy’s inventor was a dentist! Back in 1897 Doctor William Morrison brought the idea to candy maker John Wharton, and together they created the sweet snack we all know and love.
Cotton Candy was first premiered in 1908 at the World’s Fair. At that time it only cost $.25 cents.
