Over the next few days you’re going to hear the word “Blizzard” A LOT. But what most people don’t realize is to be a Blizzard it has nothing to do with snow totals. You need a sustained wind of 35mph, or frequent gusts, for 3 straight hours. Visibility also needs to be a quarter mile or less in falling or blowing snow around the whole 3 hours.
We will know soon enough if we get hit with a Blizzard this weekend or just some snow.
