Join Star 99.9 and the City of Bridgeport, Bridgeport Public Schools and the Alzheimer’s Association in support of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, a community event dedicated to raising awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease. This inspiring event will take place on Saturday, April 26th at 9:00 AM at Seaside Park, Bridgeport

The walk will unite families, friends, educators, and community leaders to support those affected by Alzheimer’s disease, one of the leading causes of death in the United States. Bridgeport Public Schools, in partnership with the City of Bridgeport, is committed to spreading awareness, promoting action, and raising funds for the fight toendAlzheimer’s. 

How You Can Get Involved:

  • REGISTER: Scan the QR code or visit act.alz.org/goto/Bridgeport to register for the walk. Be sure to select the City of Bridgeport group participation option when signing up! 
  • FUNDRAISE: Fundraising is a key part of the event. Participants can create a self-donation, start a Facebook fundraiser, or ask friends and family for donations to help reach their fundraising goals. Every dollar raised contributes to groundbreaking Alzheimer’s research and support services for affected families. 
  • WALK: Whether walking solo or with a team, your participation sends a powerful message of hope and unity. Invite your family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors to join the walk for an inspiring and meaningful day. 

Incentives:

  • Participants who raise $100 or more will receive an official WalktoEndAlzheimer’s t-shirt. 
  • There are also exclusive prizes for those who go above and beyond in fundraising.

This event is free to register, and every step taken will contribute to the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Your support will help raise awareness, fund research, and provide critical resources for individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s.
