Every Thursday Kathryn from Connecticut Humane Society joins the show to tell us about another pet that needs a home.
This week we have Bolt!
- Bolt is an adorable 3-month-old Siberian husky mix puppy
- He came to CT Humane Society because his owner wasn’t able to keep him through a move
- This pup is a high energy dog who is going to need lots of exercise every day!
- He’s also going to need a lot of positive reinforcement training as he grows up, as huskies are a working breed, meaning:
- When full grown, these dogs are usually large or extra-large as adults.
- Developed for a range of tasks, working dogs are intelligent, capable and can make excellent companions.
- Working dogs are large to extra-large breeds that have been bred for their size, strength and adaptability. This means they can be very strong and easily pull or knock some owners over.
- Like all dogs, it is essential that they be trained and socialized at an early age and this should be continued on and throughout their lives.
- Many make wonderful pets and enjoy having a job to do.
If you are interested, Bolt is located at the Westport location and you can start the process by going to cthumane.org/adopt.
