Sam is proud to be on the radio in "her own backyard". Born in Bridgeport and raised in Shelton, she graduated from Shelton High School and began her radio career by serving as a both a personality and General Manager of WOWL Radio at Southern Connecticut State University. Her radio stops in Connecticut include 13 years at KC101 in New Haven, plus 96.5TIC in Hartford, and 95.9 The Fox and the former Kool 96.7 in Norwalk. She joined the staff of STAR 99.9 in 2004.
Sam also serves as the Program Director of Star 99.9, which keeps her very busy when she isn't on the air. She lives in "The Valley" with her husband and 2 cats. One cat was adopted from a shelter and the other was a rescue. Sam encourages all who would like to add to their family to visit a shelter to adopt a homeless pet.
