President Obama Headed For 'The View'
President Barack Obama is scheduled to appear on "The View," according to executive producers Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie. Obama will be the featured guest Thursday. "This marks the first time in history a sitting United States President has visited a daytime talk show," ABC said in a statement. "President Obama's unprecedented appearance is part of the show's continuing 'Red, White & View' campaign, which is committed to political guests and discussions."
'The Price Is Right' Getting Funny
When the new season of "The Price is Right" starts in September, Drew Carey will add improv to his hosting duties. After six seasons, the current "Price is Right" announcer, Rich Fields, is being replaced with three rotating guest announcers. Two of the new announcers are Brad Sherwood and Jeff Davis, who were on "Whose Line is It Anyway?" with Carey and appeared on "The Drew Carey Show." The third is J.D. Roberto, the behind-the-scenes correspondent for "American Idol Extra" on the Fox Reality Channel. He also occasionally hosts "The Price is Right Live" at Bally's Hotel in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Fields, who is a meteorologist, has started doing the weather at L.A.'s CBS station.
Jay Leno Hosting Biloxi Fundraiser For Gulf Coast
Jay Leno is headed to Biloxi, Mississippi, next month to raise money for people affected by the Gulf oil spill. His August 21st performance at the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort is being called "Stand Up for the Gulf Coast: A Special Evening with Jay Leno." Chris Klein Pleads Not Guilty To Drunk Driving
Chris Klein has pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of drunk driving. The pleas stem from his arrest June 16th on a Los Angeles freeway. Klein is charged with DUI and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher. Prosecutors say he already has a misdemeanor DUI conviction from 2005 in San Diego County.
Hugh Laurie Recording Music Album
"House" star Hugh Laurie is working on a blues album to be recorded this summer and released later this year. Laurie said he was "drunk with excitement" after signing the deal with Warner Music Entertainment.
Wesley Snipes' Lawyers Want To Question Jurors
Attorneys for Wesley Snipes say they want to question jurors who convicted him of not filing his income tax. The lawyers want to find out if any of the jurors made up their minds about his guilt before the trial began. The motion filed Friday in Florida federal court says an unnamed juror sent one of Snipes' lawyers an e-mail saying three other jurors had presumed Snipes was guilty. The motion says if it's true, that would violate Snipes' constitutional right to a fair trial. Snipes was convicted two years ago of three misdemeanor counts of not filing income tax returns. He is free on an appeals bond. Federal prosecutors in Florida have asked a judge to revoke the bond and order Snipes to begin serving his three-year sentence.
Gwyneth Paltrow Releasing New Single
Gwyneth Paltrow is releasing a single titled "Country Strong" on August 23rd. Vince Gill and Patty Griffin provide background vocals. The title is the same as an upcoming movie, which stars Paltrow as Kelly Canter, a country star trying to make a comeback. The film is scheduled to open December 22nd. The soundtrack will be released October 26th. The film also stars Tim McGraw, Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester.
Michael Lohan Asks Police To Investigate Lindsey's Drug Docs
Michael Lohan has reportedly handed over a list of doctors that "over-prescribed" drugs to his daughter, Lindsay Lohan, to the L.A. Sheriff's Department. Michael took the list to police on Friday, saying the doctors had prescribed the drugs under false names. The list could prove useful in a massive prescription drug investigation currently being conducted by California's Attorney General. Lindsay is currently serving a 90-day jail sentence after violating probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest. She has been ordered to attend rehab after her release.

Update: Eric Roberts In 'Rehab' To Kick Rx Marijuana Habit
Eric Roberts moved into Dr. Drew Pinsky's Pasadena Recovery Center last week for a crippling addiction to prescription marijuana, his wife has revealed. The actor has been off hard drugs and alcohol for 15 years, Eliza Roberts tells E! News. "He has no interest in anything, other than marijuana." Roberts has anxiety issues, so he turned to doctor-prescribed weed for relief after traditional medication did not agree with his body. He had no such issue with the marijuana. "However, a dependency is a dependency and he doesn't want to be dependent on it anymore," Eliza said.
'America's Got Talent' Tour
Fans of the NBC series "America's Got Talent" will get to see a number of the show's current contestants up close and personal during the talent competition's first-ever tour. Scheduled to kick off on the West Coast in October, the show's inaugural road trip will be hosted by Jerry Springer and will feature the yet-to-be-named champion of the competition's in-progress fifth season, as well as "other dynamic finalists and fan favorites," NBC said. Tickets for the outing - which is due to hit more than two-dozen cities by early November - go on sale Friday.

Steve Carell is definitely leaving "The Office" after this coming season. Despite Carell's departure, the show will continue. Carell has said in interviews that he plans to leave the series to better balance his work and family life.

Orlando Bloom and model Miranda Kerr have gotten married. Nobody is saying where or when they got hitched. Kerr first met Bloom backstage at a Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York in 2006. They began dating in late 2007 and confirmed their engagement last month.
Gabor Has Surgery
Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband says his wife is "doing a little bit better" in a Los Angeles hospital where she underwent hip surgery last week. Gabor, 93, fell at home and had hip surgery last Monday at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Her husband, Frederic von Anhalt, said his wife spoke a few words Saturday but was still in critical condition. Gabor fell out of bed while trying to answer the telephone on July 17th.
'Bling Ring' Convict Released Early
Alexis Neiers, the 19-year-old star of reality TV show "Pretty Wild," has been released from jail after serving less than 30 days of her 6-month sentence for burglary. Neiers, implicated in the "bling ring" celebrity burglary spree this spring, was released Friday from the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood. She pleaded no contest in May but was released early because of overcrowding. Neiers was incarcerated for breaking into Orlando Bloom's house. For the past few days, Neiers had been Lindsay Lohan's cell neighbor at the jail. Ironically, she was also accused of robbing Lohan. Neiers still has three years of probation and was ordered to pay up to $600,000 in restitution.
Lohan May Be Released From Jail In July
Lindsay Lohan, who began her 90-day jail sentence in Los Angeles last week, will be leaving Lynwood Correctional Facility in late July, according to RadarOnline. The 24-year-old actress was expected to be released from jail in less than 90 days, perhaps as early as August 1st or 2nd, due to prison overcrowding. However, RadarOnline was told that the judge overseeing Lohan's case cut her stay even shorter by agreeing to grant her two days credit for time she was previously in custody. Lohan was jailed for skipping an alcohol education class, which was part of her probation for a 2007 DUI conviction.
Julia Roberts' Brother Checks Into 'Celebrity Rehab'
Actor Eric Roberts, Julia Roberts' older brother, is joining the cast of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab 4," RadarOnline.com reports. Roberts, 54, has moved into the Pasadena Recovery Center. No word on what Roberts is getting treated for, but he was arrested in 1987 for cocaine possession and allegedly battled a cocaine problem in the '90s. Kings Of Leon Interrupted By Pooping Pigeons
The Kings of Leon were forced offstage Friday by a barrage of pigeon poop. The band was pelted by birds sitting in the rafters of the Verizon Amphitheatre in St Louis, forcing the Kings to cancel their performance after three songs into their set. Bassist Jared Followill said he was hit in the face during the opening song, then on both arms during the next two songs. Followill said the band was aware of the problem after seeing members of the opening acts get pooed.

While Carrie Underwood is on her honeymoon with new husband Mike Fisher, her debut album, "Some Hearts," has officially hit the 7-million-sold mark in the U.S. The album produced the hits "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Wasted" and "Before He Cheats." Inmates Upset Over LiLo's Special Treatment
Lindsay Lohan's fellow inmates are reportedly unhappy about her special living conditions. According to one inmate that was released just after Lohan moved in, the actress has her own private cell with a dresser and a TV. Debra Sickels, a 30-year-old inmate serving 19 days for shopping lifting tells the New York Daily News, "The girls said they cleaned a special room for Lindsay. It had a regular hospital bed, a TV and a dresser for her new clothes and socks." Another inmate claims that the whole prison has been walking on egg shells since Lohan's arrival, and a visit from Lindsey's family even caused an extended lockdown. Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in prison plus an additional 90 days of inpatient rehab, but is likely to spend only around two weeks in jail due to overcrowding. "

When "As the World Turns" ends in September, it'll be replaced by a "View"-type talk show. Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur are to star in a new daily chat show on CBS. The six co-hosts are expected to examine topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of mothers. The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer.
Schwarzenegger Compares Gibson To Gulf Oil Leak
Arnold Schwarzenegger may be gunning for a late-night slot when his term as California governor ends. The Governator got laughs Wednesday from a business group after making wise cracks about Mel Gibson's situation. Before getting into his speech to utility commissioners, Schwarzenegger compared Gibson to the Gulf of Mexico oil leak. He said while BP appears to have contained its well, "no one has figured out how to contain Mel Gibson." Lindsay Lohan's father has been slapped with a restraining order after his fiancée accused him of kicking her in the face during a heated argument on Monday. Kate Major filed a police complaint accusing Lohan of attacking her by flipping over her chair, throwing a shoe at her, and kicking her in the mouth. Drugs Found On Bret Michaels' Tour Buses
Bret Michaels has been through plenty of health problems and now he may have a legal matter to handle. While his tour buses were pulled over during a routine traffic stop in Indiana, police dogs discovered marijuana and other illegal drugs on the buses. Michaels was reportedly on the bus where only marijuana was found. The other bus had marijuana and unidentified controlled substances on it. Citations were reportedly issued, but no arrests were made.

Justin Bieber is set to make his acting debut as a guest star in the Season 11 premiere of CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." Lindsay's Life Behind Bars
Lindsay Lohan surrendered herself to authorities on Tuesday to begin serving her 90-day jail sentence. Her cell at the women's correctional facility in Lynwood, California, is 12-by-8 feet, and she will be separated from the other 1,800 prisoners. The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences plans to present George Clooney with its Bob Hope Humanitarian Award. Clooney is the fourth person to be presented with the Television Academy's tribute honoring the legacy of comedian Bob Hope, who died in 2003 at the age of 100. The previous winners of the prize are Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby and the late Danny Thomas. Clooney will be presented with the honor August 29th at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards show in Los Angeles.
Nickelodeon Sets 'Last Airbender' Spinoff For 2011
A spinoff from Nickelodeon's "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is in the works. The new animated series will premiere in 2011. It has the working title, "The Legend of Korra." Nickelodeon says the series will build on the "mythology" of the original "The Last Airbender" series, which inspired this summer's live-action movie from M. Night Shyamalan.
Christina Applegate Pregnant With First Child
After beating breast cancer, Christina Applegate and fiancé Martyn Lenoble are expecting their first child. The couple got engaged on Valentine's Day after dating for two years. Gosselin Kids Not Being Exploited
The show will go on for "Kate Plus 8" as Pennsylvania's labor department stands by its decision to issue work permits to Kate Gosselin's sextuplets for the TLC reality show. In a statement issued Tuesday, the department said the children are not being "unlawfully exploited" as they film with their mom and older twin sisters, Cara and Mady. State Rep. Thomas Murt questioned the permits last week, saying Pennsylvania law allows children under 7 to work in movies, but not TV. Gosselin's sextuplets are 6 years old. Labor officials said that the permits protect the children from working too many hours and ensure they receive earnings from the TLC show.
Brittany Murphy's Husband Died Of Same Causes
Brittany Murphy's widower Simon Monjack died after suffering from pneumonia and anemia - the same thing that claimed the actress' life on December 20th. Monjack was found unconscious at the Hollywood Hills home he once shared with Murphy in May. Traces of prescription drugs were also found in his system but the Los Angeles County Coroner ruled it was not enough to be fatal. Murphy and Monjack are buried next to each other at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles.

Michael Lohan's fiancée is claiming that Lindsay Lohan's dad physically attacked her during an argument that turned violent. Kate Major, a former reporter for Star magazine who quit after claiming she fell in love with Jon Gosselin, filed a police report accusing Lohan of shoving her over a chair and injuring her shoulder, then kicking her in the face while she was on the floor. Donald Trump Files Suit Over Noisy Airport
Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit in a bid to stop a planned expansion at an airport near his Florida home. Trump filed papers in Palm Beach County Circuit Court on Monday, accusing county officials of failing to assess noise and associated pollution from jet engines at Palm Beach International Airport, near his Mar-a-Lago estate and members-only beach club. The complaint aims to block construction of a second runway and prevent planes flying over his properties. Plans for the expansion are currently on hold.

Cowell left "Idol" at the end of Season 9 to concentrate on a new talent search show called "The X Factor." Isaak recorded the 1989 hit song "Wicked Game" and has appeared in the TV series "Eastwick," "Cold Case" and "Smallville." He also was the host of "The Chris Isaak Show" on Showtime. Sheriff Investigating Gibson's Ex For Extortion
Sheriff's detectives in Los Angeles are checking extortion allegations against Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. Officials declined to offer any other details on the inquiry, but TMZ reports that Grigorieva attempted to extort money from Gibson in return for keeping the recently released tapes of Mel's crazy rants secret. Sources say deputies will also be investigating the allegations that Oksana made false claims. Detectives interviewed Grigorieva earlier this month after she claimed Gibson abused her during an incident in January. Gibson and Grigorieva are locked in a bitter custody dispute over their infant daughter. No arrests have been made, and neither has been charged with any crimes.
Lindsay Behind Bars
Lindsay Lohan was booked into an all-female jail in Los Angeles yesterday for violating her probation on two 2007 drunk-driving and cocaine possession charges. The actress is likely to serve just 14 days of her 90-day sentence, said a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He said nonviolent female inmates generally serve about 25% of their sentence. Good behavior and jail overcrowding could also reduce her time in the pokey. Starz To Honor Hopper
Starz is planning a tribute to Dennis Hopper, who died of cancer last May. The Academy Award-nominated actor, director, artist and photographer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame shortly before his death on May 29th at the age of 74. He currently has an exhibit of his art at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Hopper played fictitious record producer Ben Cendars on Starz's first original drama series, "Crash," for two seasons. Starz is to show five episodes from the show, supplemented by interviews with Hopper and other "Crash" cast members. His photography and art will also be shown.
Dennis Hopper's Estate To Go On Sale
Dennis Hopper's sprawling estate in Venice, California, is going on sale this Friday for about $6.2 million. The property, where Hopper lived for more than 20 years, is located a few blocks from the Pacific and spans 15,550 square feet. The compound contains the late actor's 4,900 square-foot corrugated-steel house and three townhouses that Hopper used as office space and family residences.
Schwarzenegger Names Geena Davis To California Panel
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Geena Davis to a California commission established to promote women's equality. Schwarzenegger named the 54-year-old actress to the Commission on the Status of Women. The nonpartisan panel advocates for women and girls in areas such as education and access to health care. The appointment lasts four years and requires Senate confirmation. The 17 commissioners receive a $100 per diem.
Price Wants Court To Be Coleman's Common-Law Spouse
Gary Coleman's ex-wife is asking a judge to formally recognize her as Coleman's surviving spouse. Documents filed last week on behalf of Shannon Price say she and Coleman continued to live together and to represent themselves as married despite their divorce in 2008. Price wants a judge to recognize her common-law marriage to Coleman from the date of the divorce through his death on May 28th. She wants that declaration as part of the ongoing battle over Coleman's estate. Coleman had several wills. but a note handwritten by Coleman just days into his 2007 marriage names Price his sole heir. Coleman's ex-girlfriend, Anna Gray, says a document from 2005 awards her his estate.
Broadway At The White House
Monday night at the White House, Nathan Lane hosted a special evening of Broadway performances for President Obama and the White House staff. Lane joked that theatergoing hasn't been popular for presidents since Abraham Lincoln. He also pointed out that the Obamas do enjoy a night at the show. Before the performances, the president praised Broadway music as a "truly American art form." He said whether or not people like to admit it, everyone has the lyrics of a few Broadway shows stuck in their head. The judge in the Jesse James/Janine Lindemulder custody battle ruled yesterday that Jesse can take daughter Sunny to live in Texas. Lindemulder had tried blocking the move so she could visit her. The judge ruled Jesse and Janine will have joint legal custody, but Jesse will have physical custody. The judge did allow Lindemulder to have physical custody of Sunny in California until school starts in Texas. Meanwhile, James also scored a partial victory yesterday in a civil lawsuit filed against him by a clothing line claiming he cut the company out of a clothing deal with Walmart. James was ordered to pay Fortune Fashions Industries $167,607.75, much less than the $6 million FFI had wanted.
Censored 'Family Guy' Episode To Be Released On DVD
A controversial episode of "Family Guy" dealing with the topic of abortion that Fox refused to air will be distributed on DVD in September as a stand-alone episode by corporate sibling Fox Home Video. In a statement, Fox declined to state why it had chosen not to air the episode. It added, however, that it supported "the producers' right to make the episode and distribute it in whatever way they want." In the episode, entitled "Partial Terms of Endearment," Lois debates whether or not to keep the child she's carrying as a surrogate for friends who are then killed in a car accident.
FX Show 'Damages' Saved By Move To DirecTV
The critically-acclaimed FX drama "Damages" has moved to DirecTV after three seasons of low ratings. Producers announced that the Emmy-nominated show's fourth and fifth seasons will air solely on DirecTV. The deal will include 20 new episodes, split into 10 per season. "Damages" won four Emmys in its first two seasons.

Sixth Purported Mel Gibson Tape Surfaces

Lady Gaga faced anti-gay protesters on Saturday night as a Kansas-based church group picketed her show in St. Louis. The radical right-wing protesters from Westboro Baptist Church reportedly feel that Gaga is a "false prophetess." The singer posted a message on Facebook to warn fans of the protests saying, "Do not interact with them, or try to fight. Do not respond to any of their provocation. Don't waste your words or feelings." The show went on as planned with no conflicts reported.
Rock Hall Anniversary Concerts Coming To DVD
Last year's concerts to mark the 25th anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are coming to DVD. The concerts were filmed in New York in October. Bullock Renews Restraining Order Against Stalker
Sandra Bullock obtained a temporary restraining order yesterday against a 41-year-old man accused of stalking the actress in 2003. Bullock's attorney obtained the protective order on her behalf against Thomas James Weldon, who has been the subject of previous court orders to stay away from Bullock. A hearing for the three-year order against Weldon was set for August 6th. Bullock first obtained a restraining order in California against Weldon in 2003, but that order expired in 2009. He voluntarily entered a mental institution in Tennessee, and the actress sued the state in 2006 to require them to notify her of his release.

Kelly Osbourne has confirmed via Twitter that her dog Woody has died. The news came shortly after Osbourne announced she and fiancé Luke Worrall had broken up. Madonna 'Cited For Noise Pollution'
Madonna has been cited for noise pollution by authorities in London. Westminster City Council officials were called to investigate neighbors' complaints and discovered that Madonna's staff had thrown a party at the singer's London home in her absence. Music coming from the property was considered loud enough to be deemed a "statutory nuisance" and an official notice was posted through Madonna's letterbox. Madonna could face a court case and a fine of up to $5,000 if she is cited for similar offences again.

MTV is taking a "take it or leave it" approach with The cast of Jersey Shore.
The cast's original all-for-one, one-for-all contract status had fallen apart and MTV had given the show's stars until last Friday to individually negotiate new deals, a source close to the cast tells RadarOnline.com.
"None of them did. So when the 16th passed and there were no new deals, MTV took the position that all the cast's original contracts were still in force at their $10,000 an episode fee."

Fugitive Porn Star Nabbed In Chattanooga
A fugitive adult porn star wanted for murder in Florida was in custody in Tennessee yesterday, officials said. Jason Andrews was tracked down to a billiard parlor in Chattanooga, where he had recently landed a job. Andrews, who was picked up by U.S. Marshals and Chattanooga police acting on a tip, was wanted for the mid-May stabbing death of tattoo parlor owner Dennis "Scooter" Abrahamson. Authorities say Andrews and his girlfriend, porn star Amanda Logue, planned to rob Scooter after stabbing him to death during an all-night sex party at his Port Richey, Florida, home. Logue had been hired to work as a prostitute at the event. She was arrested shortly after the slaying.
Paris Hilton Detained For Pot Possession
Paris Hilton was briefly detained by French police in Corsica after they allegedly found marijuana in her purse. Hilton was released without charges shortly after police said they found less than a gram of marijuana in her possession. Hilton was disembarking from a private jet on the French island of Corsica and was scheduled to board a yacht heading to Porto Cervo in Sardinia, Italy. Hilton was arrested earlier this month in South Africa during the World Cup quarterfinal match between Brazil and the Netherlands, where her friend was found with a joint. Hilton was not charged, and her arrest was chalked up to "mistaken identity."
'Lost' Props And Costumes To Be Auctioned
An auction and exhibit featuring props, wardrobe and set decorations from "Lost " will be held at the Santa Monica Airport beginning on August 12th. The new police series "Hawaii Five-0" kicked off production in Honolulu Thursday with a traditional Hawaiian blessing in honor of its host culture, CBS said. Series stars Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, as well as the producers and crew participated in the event. The show is a contemporary take on the classic TV series, which starred Jack Lord and ran from 1968 to 1980. It is set to debut this fall.

An auction house selling Lucille Ball memorabilia says it is returning the star's lifetime achievement awards to her daughter. A sale of dozens of other Ball-related memorabilia went under the hammer on Saturday. Items up for bid included a Rolls Royce and love letters to second husband Gary Morton. Veteran stage and film actor James Gammon died at his home near Los Angeles on Friday following a bout with cancer. He was 70. Gammon had his highest-profile film role in "Major League," in which he played baseball manager Lou Brown. He also had roles in "Cold Mountain," "Urban Cowboy" and "Silverado." His television career stretched from "Gunsmoke" to "Grey's Anatomy."
Chile's Bites Back At Steve Carell
Steve Carell betrayed Chili's for Outback Steakhouse's Bloomin' Onion last week, but Chili's President Wyman T. Roberts is focusing on the chain's loyal fans. "You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal that was displayed the other night and you're worthy of so much more," Roberts wrote in a letter posted on Facebook to "United States and Chili's Guests." Roberts was responding to the spoof of the LeBron James/ESPN press conference that aired during the 2010 ESPY awards. 'Speed Racer' Dies
Peter Fernandez, who lent his voice to the title character in the U.S. version of the Japanese-originated "Speed Racer" cartoon, has died of lung cancer. Fernandez died Thursday at his home in Pomona, New York. He was 83. In addition to voicing Speed Racer, Fernandez also voiced Racer X and other characters on the 1960s animated series. He penned the lyrics to the show's theme song and lent his voice to characters in the "Astro Boy," "Ultraman," "Gigantor" and "Star Blazers" cartoons.
AT&T Agrees To Deal Just In Time For 'Mad Men' Premiere
AT&T has reached an agreement with the company that owns AMC, IFC and We TV, keeping the channels on AT&T's U-verse service. The new deal between AT&T and Rainbow Media prevents a lockout that could have kept the season premiere of AMC's "Mad Men" from showing in 22 states on July 25th. The telecom giant had initially refused to renew their contract with Rainbow, claiming the network charged excessive fees.
Bruce Willis Sued Over Dirty Rug
Bruce Willis is being sued by rug owners claiming he spilled wine on a rug he was test driving in his home. Willis admits having the rug in his home for two months, but says he never spilled wine on it. Willis offered to get the rug cleaned, but the owners refused. They're now taking the case to court, asking for $27,700. Willis wants the judge to toss the suit and wants the rug company to pay his legal bills.
VH1 Checks Back Into Rehab With Dr. Drew
VH1 has partnered with Dr. Drew Pinsky for a fourth season of the hit reality series, "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." The series is slated to premiere later this year. The fourth season will follow the real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center. The Portland, Oregon, startup Think Brilliant has sued "The Office" star Rainn Wilson, alleging he didn't properly compensate the company for helping to develop his website, SoulPancake.com. The suit seeks compensation of up to $11.3 million. Think Brilliant claims Wilson or someone from SoulPancake hacked into a database with an unauthorized administrator password. The person then sent e-mails to Think Brilliant employees, accusing them of fraud and other misconduct. The developer also accuses Wilson of failing to provide legal documents that formalized Think Brilliant's ownership in SoulPancake.com.
Polanski Attends Swiss Jazz Fest
Roman Polanski has made his first public appearance since being released from house arrest, attending the Montreux Jazz Festival on Saturday to watch his wife perform. The 76-year-old director arrived at the Lake Geneva festival Saturday evening in an SUV with tinted windows. Polanski's wife, actress and singer Emmanuelle Seigner, performed shortly after his arrival. Polanski was freed last week from seven months of house arrest at his Swiss chalet when Switzerland refused to extradite him to the United States. Before that, he served two months in prison as the Swiss government pondered whether he should be handed over to U.S. authorities to be sentenced for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. He still faces an Interpol warrant in effect for 188 countries.
Lohan Hires Shapiro
Celebrity lawyer Robert Shapiro said Friday he's agreed to help Lindsay Lohan fight her legal battles. Lohan was sentenced this month to 90 days in jail for violating her probation following a 2007 driving under the influence conviction. She's expected to begin serving her sentence tomorrow, but experts say she'll probably be released much sooner than 90 days since she did not commit a violent crime and because the jails are overcrowded. Last week, Lohan entered a sober-living facility founded by Shapiro after his son died of a drug overdose in 2005.

A New York state database of unclaimed cash says actress Angelina Jolie and ex-Yankees Manager Joe Torre are among those who have money coming to them. Justin Bieber is getting own biography comic book, courtesy of Bluewater Productions. Aguilera Rep Denies Record Label Feud
Christina Aguilera's rep has dismissed reports she is locked in a bitter feud with her record label over disappointing sales of her latest album, "Bionic." Aguilera's fourth studio album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard charts, but quickly fell out of the Top 10, with sales barely hitting 200,000 in its five weeks of release. A spokesperson from RCA denies the label is at odds with Aguilera, and says she "is a pillar of the RCA Music Group and is an undeniable talent with one of the greatest voices of our time." Aguilera's manager, Irving Azoff, further disputed the claims, saying, "I am the one who deals with the label, and this couldn't be further from the truth."
Lohan Staying In Sober-Living House
Lindsay Lohan has signed herself into a Los Angeles sober-living facility. The 24-year-old actress is scheduled to start serving a 90-day jail sentence on Tuesday for violating her probation in a 2007 driving under the influence conviction. However, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman said women sent to jail for non-violent crimes usually serve 25% or less of their sentences because of overcrowding in the prison system. Lohan checked into Pickford Lofts, a sober-living house founded by famed defense attorney Robert Shapiro, on Wednesday.
Film About Joaquin Phoenix's Hip-Hop 'Career' Set For Release
Magnolia Pictures says it has acquired world rights to a portrayal of a tumultuous year in the life of Joaquin Phoenix. "I'm Still Here" is his brother-in-law Casey Affleck's directorial debut. The film follows Phoenix as he announces his retirement from a successful film career in the fall of 2008 and sets off to reinvent himself as a hip-hop musician. The movie is due in theaters September 10th.
White Lands Guest Spot On 'Community'
Betty White has signed on to guest star in the Season 2 premiere of the NBC sitcom "Community." She is set to play Professor June Bauer, "an esteemed, but slightly unhinged anthropology professor." White was recently nominated for an Emmy for her work as host of a "Saturday Night Live" program in May. The former star of "The Golden Girls" is now a regular cast member of TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland."
Lopez To Star In New VH1 Reality Show
Mario Lopez is set to star in a new reality series on VH1 about his transition from bachelorhood to fatherhood. Lopez's girlfriend, Courtney Mazza, is pregnant with their first child. Their series, as yet untitled, is expected to feature eight half-hour episodes and is set to premiere this fall.

Shaquille O'Neal Takes On More Competition
Shaquille O'Neal's TV show, "Shaq Vs.," is coming back for a second season. ABC says the program will feature the NBA star taking on people in areas other than sports. Among those Shaq will compete with is singer Justin Bieber. He will also have a cook-off against Rachael Ray and a hot dog eating contest against Joey Chestnut. The second season of "Shaq Vs." begins August 3rd.
Couple Convicted In Stamos Extortion Case
A Michigan couple was convicted yesterday of trying to extort $680,000 from John Stamos by threatening to sell old photos of him with strippers and cocaine to the tabloids unless he paid up. Allison Coss and Scott Sippola were found guilty of conspiracy and using e-mail to threaten a person's reputation - charges that could land them in prison for up to five years. The two were arrested in December in an FBI sting after Stamos' lawyer complained that the actor was the target of an extortion attempt.
Gibson's Wife Says No Past Abuse
Mel Gibson's estranged wife has reportedly filed a court declaration stating she and her children never experienced any abuse by the actor. Robyn Gibson filed the statement in a custody hearing between her husband and his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. Robyn filed to divorce her husband of 28 years in April 2009. The divorce is ongoing. In her 1-page declaration, Robyn admits that she is divorcing Mel but says he "was a wonderful and loving father." The courts ruled yesterday that Mel will continue to have visitation with his daughter, Lucia, one afternoon and one overnight visit a week.
Roy Rogers' Dog Sold At Auction
Roy Rogers' stuffed and mounted dog, Bullet, has fetched $35,000 on the second day of an auction of the movie cowboy's belongings in New York City. The preserved remains of Rogers' wife's horse, Buttermilk, also were auctioned yesterday. Buttermilk sold for $25,000 - less than a tenth of the price of Rogers' horse, Trigger, which was sold Wednesday. No word on Bullet's and Buttermilk's new owners. But Trigger is heading for Omaha, Nebraska, after being purchased by the rural cable TV network RFD-TV. The Rogers auction included more than 1,000 items from the now-closed Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in Branson, Missouri.
LA Detectives Receive Gibson Audio Recordings
Detectives investigating Mel Gibson for a possible domestic violence case have received audio recordings from a court deciding the actor's child custody case, authorities said yesterday. Officials said CDs were turned over during a closed session in the custody case. The hearing was attended by several investigators, including detectives who look in possible child abuse. Detectives will now work to authenticate the recordings released by the court. It was not reported how many recordings were included or how long they were. It was also unclear whether the recordings include those that have been posted by RadarOnline.com. The site has posted more than 20 minutes of recordings of arguments between a man who sounds like Gibson and a woman the site says is Grigorieva.
Melissa Gilbert Treated For Broken Back
Melissa Gilbert says she is scheduled to undergo surgery for a broken back. Gilbert, 46, recently wrapped the stage musical tour of "Little House on the Prairie" in which she played the character of Ma. She had starred as Laura in the TV series of the same name in the 70s and 80s. The actress said she suffered back pain during the production of the musical, but didn't consult a neurosurgeon until the show had ended. Gilbert is set to undergo surgery July 22nd to replace a disc with a plastic implant and fuse a vertebra in her lower spine. How she sustained the injury was not reported.
'Arthur' Remake Begins Filming
Principal photography has begun in New York on the romantic comedy "Arthur," starring Russell Brand and Helen Mirren. Co-starring Nick Nolte, Jennifer Garner and Greta Gerwig, the film is being directed by Jason Winer, a 2010 Directors Guild Award recipient for the hit ABC comedy "Modern Family." The original movie, starring Dudley Moore, Liza Minnelli and John Gielgud, was a box-office smash, raking in $82 million in U.S. theaters.
'American Idol Auditions Begin
The search begins this week for the next "American Idol." The first auditions for season 10 start tomorrow in Nashville. You need wristbands to get inside the venue, Bridgestone Arena. Auditions are being held in six cities, starting with Nashville tomorrow, and then moving to Milwaukee on Wednesday, New Orleans on July 26th; East Rutherford, New Jersey, on August 3rd; Austin, Texas on August 11th, and San Francisco on August 19th. This year, the age range is 15 through 28.
Archuleta To Release Second Album
"American Idol" Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta will release his second album, "Other Side of Down," on September 14th. "Something 'Bout Love" will be the first digital single off the CD. It will be available July 20th.
Micky Dolenz To Appear In 'Mega Python'
Micky Dolenz will appear in the made-for-TV movie "Mega Python vs Gatoroid," opposite his fellow former pop icons Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, Syfy said. Dolenz was a member of the 1960s group The Monkees. Syfy's Saturday Original Movie "Mega Python vs Gatoroid" is currently filming in Los Angeles. Dolenz portrays a celebrity singer hired by Tiffany for her fundraiser to save the Everglades.

Enrique Iglesias is going to water ski naked in Miami because he didn't have enough faith in his soccer team. Iglesias told the BBC that if Spain won the World Cup, he'd "get drunk and ski naked in Biscayne Bay." At the time, it didn't look like Spain would win so he thought it was a safe bet. But Spain did win and now Iglesias tells "Access Hollywood" that "a bet is a bet."

She tells Redbook magazine that she was "on the verge of being sent home" after getting sick from her diabetesShe says she begged, screamed and pleaded to stay. Bowersox also used the kid card, saying that she needed to stay on the show for her son. She says after she threw "a huge fit" they gave in.
Daughtry's Twins
Chris Daughtry and his wife Deanna will be getting one of each when their surrogate gives birth to twins. Daughtry announced in a video blog that the surrogate is carrying a boy and a girl. He says they've picked names already, but they won't say what they are until the babies are born. The surrogate is due in November. The Daughtrys already have a son and daughter.

Crews spent Tuesday morning trying to clean up the black marker messages, found under window ledges and under bushes.
Shawn Johnson's Stalker Gets Five Years In Mental Hospital
A judge is sending the man convicted of stalking Shawn Johnson to a mental hospital for five years. Robert O'Ryan had been found to be legally insane when he broke onto the studio lot where Johnson was performing last year on "Dancing With the Stars." The order came after doctors evaluated O'Ryan, who had traveled from Florida to Los Angeles to try to meet Johnson. During the trial, a prosecutor described O'Ryan as having a dangerous obsession with Johnson. After O'Ryan was arrested, police found two loaded guns, a knife and love notes addressed to Johnson in his car.
Man Pleads To Stealing Julie Newmar's Jewelry
A man accused of stealing jewelry from Julie Newmar has pleaded no contest to grand theft. Robert Ouriel was sentenced to three years' probation and 45 days of community service. Ouriel, 49, has been described as an acquaintance of Newmar. Newmar spotted the stolen jewelry for sale on eBay and estimates it's worth $150,000. Ouriel's attorney says his client took the plea bargain so he could move on with his life. A restitution hearing is scheduled for September 14th. Julie Newmar is most famous for playing Catwoman on the '60s "Batman" TV series.

"America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan appears to be the frontrunner to take over for CNN's Larry King when he retires. The British TV personality has won permission from NBC, which airs his hit talent contest, to pursue the CNN job. Morgan has been considered a favorite to replace King, who on June 29th announced his departure from the primetime show he has hosted for a quarter of a century.
Dustin Hoffman To Star In New HBO Series
Dustin Hoffman is coming to TV. HBO says Hoffman will star in a new drama series about the horse racing world called "Luck." Other cast members include Dennis Farina, Nick Nolte and Hall of Fame rider Gary Stevens, who appeared in the film "Seabiscuit." The series will begin shooting this fall.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were married at the beginning of July at a friend's house in the Bahamas. Cruz's rep said the ceremony was a small one attended only by family members. Penelope's wedding dress was designed by a longtime friend, fashion designer John Galliano. Cruz and Bardem are from Spain. They appeared together in the 2008 Woody Allen romantic comedy "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." Cruz won a supporting actress Oscar for her role in that film.

"The Late Late Show" host Craig Ferguson and wife Megan Wallace are expecting a baby, the comedian revealed on Twitter yesterday morning. "Holy crackers! Mrs F is pregnant. How did that happen? ...oh yeah I know how. Another Ferguson arrives in 2011. The world trembles," Ferguson tweeted. Ferguson and his art dealer wife got married in Vermont in December 2008.

Kelly Osbourne and British model Luke Worrall have called off their engagement amid reports he cheated on her. "Thank you all so much for your support but the matter is private and [I] will not be commenting," Osbourne tweeted yesterday. "Enough damage has already [been] done!" Osburne, 25, and Worrall, 20, were engaged in November 2008. Worrall stood by Osbourne during her rehab stint to treat an addiction to painkillers and supported her during the ninth season of "Dancing with the Stars," often sitting in the ballroom with her parents, Ozzy and Sharon.
Steven Seagal Accuser Drops Lawsuit
Steven Seagal's former executive assistant has officially dropped her lawsuit against the actor in which she had accused Seagal of sexually assaulting her while employed by him. Kayden Nguyen, 23, wanted more than $1 million from Seagal, claiming he not only treated her like a "sex toy" but also accusing him of trafficking women for sex. But on Tuesday, Kayden's lawyers filed documents with the court asking for the case to be dismissed. The documents did not specify if a settlement was reached.
Joan Rivers Offers To Pay For Lindsay's Rehab
Joan Rivers voiced concern for Lindsay Lohan yesterday after she and the troubled actress exchanged heated words on Twitter. Rivers discussed her concerns for Lohan in an interview on "The Insider," saying she felt "so sorry for Lindsay" and offered to help the young actress pay for rehab. "That girl is going to be dead in 10 years if somebody doesn't take care of her," Rivers added. She then addressed Lohan directly, "Lindsay, I am pleading with you. You're beautiful, you're smart, you're talented. Go to rehab, you're young...I will pay for your rehab!" Last week, Rivers poked fun at Lohan after the actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating the probation terms of her 2007 drug and alcohol case by not attending enough alcohol education classes.

Talk about a nasty fight! Heirs of the late Lucille Ball and her second husband are in a war over the planned auction of some of Ball and Gary Morton's possessions, such as a Rolls Royce and awards. Morton and Ball were married until Lucy's death in 1989. He later remarried and the items being offered for sale were consigned to the auction company by Morton's current wife, Susie. But Susie is now locked in a battled with Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, the daughter of Lucille and Desi Arnaz. Lucie Luckinbill wants some of the items and her mother's awards returned. Court documents have been flying this week as both sides prepare to go to court.
Roy Rogers' Stuffed Horse Sold To TV Station
A Nebraska cable TV network paid $266,500 for Roy Roger's stuff and mounted horse, Trigger, at an auction in New York City yesterday. Roy's faithful companion was bought by the cable company RFD-TV in Omaha, Nebraska. The horse was located at the now closed Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Museum in Branson, Missouri. No word on what the company will do with the stuffed Trigger.
Viral Old Spice Campaign
In a massively successful viral marketing campaign on YouTube, Isaiah Mustafa, known for his hilarious "I'm on a horse" Old Spice ads, has released 150 30-second video shorts in response to questions or comments from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. "Today could be just like the other 364 days you log into twitter, or maybe the Old Spice man shows up @OldSpice," the company tweeted Tuesday. Throughout the day, Isaiah, as his Old Spice character, fielded questions from journalists and celebrities, as well as regular users. He helped orchestrate a proposal and informed fans that his preferred method of Old Spice body wash application was via a "live Wolverine." Mustafa is still adding videos.

Oksana remains calm throughout the new three-minute tape. Audio purportedly of Gibson angrily making a racist remark about his ex-girlfriend's nanny was released on Tuesday. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is currently investigating Grigorieva's domestic violence claims against the actor.
Lawmaker Looks Into 'Kate Plus 8' Work Permits
A Pennsylvania lawmaker is questioning the legality of work permits issued to reality TV star Kate Gosselin's 6-year-old sextuplets, saying state law allows children under 7 to work in movies but not television. Rep. Thomas Murt is asking for an explanation from the state attorney general and labor secretary. The TLC program "Kate Plus 8" is filmed in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, and follows the lives of Gosselin, her twins and sextuplets.
Ed Norton Speaking Out About 'Avenger' Role
Ed Norton is speaking out on Facebook after Marvel Studios announced last week he won't be in the next Hulk movie, "Avengers." Norton says he felt it would be rude not to respond to an outpouring of support from fans. Over the weekend, Marvel announced the studio would replace Norton with "an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members." Norton says that "it won't work out" for him to play Bruce Banner again. But he adds he's proud of his work as grateful to the studio for the opportunity to play the part.
'America's Got Talent' Update
Last night, Future Funk, Fighting Gravity, Christina & Ali, and Nathaniel Kenyon became the first acts move ahead on NBC's "America's Got Talent" semi-finals for Season 5. The first 12 acts from this season's Top 48 performed Tuesday night. Their success means that Kung Fu Heroes, Airpocalypse, The Hot Shot Tap Dancers, Paul Safy Jr, Nick Pike, Sally Cohn, RNG and Maricar were sent home. The winner will get $1 million, headline a show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and go on a nationwide tour - the first one in the show's history.

Assemblyman Mike Davis says it's worth studying whether the California parks agency should take over the Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara County.
